DNC List Management

Add, upload, and manage Do Not Call entries to block unwanted callers.

The Do Not Call (DNC) list lets you block specific phone numbers from reaching your agents. When a number on your DNC list calls, SureConnect automatically plays a message and hangs up — before any IVR or routing occurs.

How DNC checking works

  1. A call arrives on your tracking number.
  2. SureConnect normalizes the caller's phone number to E.164 format (+1XXXXXXXXXX).
  3. The number is checked against your DNC list.
  4. If the number is on the list, the caller hears: "This number has been placed on our do not call list. Goodbye."
  5. The call ends. A record is logged with the reason "DNC blocked."
DNC checking happens at the very first step of call processing — before business hours, IVR, routing, or any other logic. This ensures blocked callers never reach your agents or incur any Twilio costs beyond the initial webhook.

Adding numbers to the DNC list

  1. 1

    Manual entry

In the DNC management section, enter a phone number and click Add. The number is immediately blocked from all your campaigns.

  2. 2

    Bulk upload

Upload a CSV or text file with one phone number per line. SureConnect normalizes all numbers automatically.

DNC list scope

Your DNC list is scoped to your publisher account. Numbers you block do not affect other publishers on the platform. Each entry is unique per publisher — adding the same number twice has no effect.

Removing numbers from the DNC list

To unblock a number, find it in the DNC management section and click Remove. The number will immediately be able to call through again.
